Today we went to Brighton beach. It was about an hour train ride from London so it wasn't too bad. Our first stop was to the royal pavilion. We weren't allowed to take pictures on the inside, but it was all oriental decoration. It was really pretty. There were a lot of dragons and snakes on the chandeliers.
After that, we went to the pier and had some free time. The weather called for upper 50's and sun, well it was probably in the 40's, cloudy, and drizzling. It was still fun though. We walked around the pier and stopped and got lunch. After we got famous milkshakes from Moo Moo's. They were really good. We headed down to the rock beach after to sit, have our milkshakes, and hang out. When we looked out into the distance, we could see a really nasty storm over the water brewing up and heading on shore.
When we were heading back to the train station, we were stopped by throngs and throngs of people dressed up as zombies to do a zombie walk and then everyone gets drunk at the end. I heard someone say that there were going to be 4,000 people there. They had the military there directing traffic and extra police officers everywhere. It was creepy, but still really cool because a lot of people were really in character!
